He looked like his whole world had been blown up. I stood and watched his face over her shoulder. It was terrible. He cried and cried, he couldnt stop. All the strength fell out of him. When she let him go, he sank to his knees and then lay down on his side, his face in his hands, and he cried and he cried and he cried.

But he was himself again, he'd come back. All open and helpless.

We held hands. Then I picked up all my courage and put my arm around his waist and he leaned into me. And I just smiled. I was so pleased. I couldn't kiss him, I was smiling so much.
"ow!" he said when I banged his mouth with my teeth.
I told him "I'm so happy"
"good" he said, "good"

Then the moment gathered itself up and jumped up into the air...and I was left on the ground watching it go...
